The Ishayas Ascension - Meditation for Everyone

Meet the Boulder Ishayas...

Dayavan

Dayavan has spent the last ten years working in travel and experiential education.  As an international travel director and an outdoor adventure guide he had a chance to visit over 35 countries and see most of the United States.  All of this travel was done from a seeker's perspective.  After experiencing the first sphere meditation course, Dayavan never put the practice down. He recently graduated from teacher training and it his passion to share this teaching with anyone and everyone.  His goal is to combine his background as an educator with his experience of Ascension by bringing meditation into the classroom.

"I knew there had to be something that could be taught to 7 year olds as well as 70 year olds.  It is the simplicity and clarity of this teaching that makes it unique and a joy to share with others.

Para Devi

What I love about Ascension is that it is all about my experience. As a seriously left-brained person, I have been frustrated by so many practices that want me to either overcome my intellect or to be satisfied with whatever I am able to “understand”. Ascension has given me the tools to move beyond thought, allowing me to focus on my experience of deep peace and boundless joy. The funny thing is that this experience is not only familiar (more like remembering than learning), but is also shared by others. I learned to Ascend because I sought something for myself and discovered a deep appreciation for something that is truly universal and accessible to everyone.

"There is nothing more valuable than to discover the amazing power of praise, gratitude and love to shift my experience of my life and ultimately to affect positive change in the world. "

Vishnu

I came to Ascension because of the amazing and easy difference that I saw it make in the life of someone very close to me. I have been a successful entrepreneur for 40 years and the concept of “being still” and “allowing” everything to just come to me was so far removed from my reality that it took a lot of my innate desire for peace, joy, and freedom for me to trust in this process. I am so grateful that I only had to show up and participate in my first 1st Sphere in order to experience coming home to my true self.

"My experience to date has been - there is a Self within me that is eternally at peace. I don’t need to create that peace or search for it, I only need to be still and allow it to manifest."

Narayani
Narayani was drawn to Ascension over four years ago after seeing a remarkable change in a very close friend that had been using the Ishayas meditation techniques for a short period of time. Twenty-four hours after completing her own First Sphere weekend course she found herself amazed that life had already dramatically changed for the better and almost literally overnight. As a long-time sufferer of depression and seeker for that “Joi de vivre”, finding her depression replaced by a buoyancy and clarity that had been absent since early in life, she felt that if this could be so for her what possibilities were there for others to experience?

“For me, until I learned to Ascend, there was always an internal drive to reconcile the wonder and enjoyment I remember living life from as a child and the day-to-day life of adulthood.  I felt there had to be a way to do this, and with Ascension I found it.  To see the dawning of realization on people’s faces on their first weekend course, that this could happen so quickly - the discovery of this amazing source of delight, that it’s so accessible, that life truly is more than what it seems and that contentment is real and uncomplicated. That is truly amazing and never ceases to inspire.”

Supriya
San Francisco, CA

Supriya Ishaya founded The Baraka Building and The World Café in St. Louis, Missouri during February 2001 as an expression of social artistry. This expression continues today with a life of its own. As a single mother of son, Cole, and chef/owner of a nationally award winning catering business, (1982 - 2005) White Crow Culinary Productions, she completed her Masters in Doing in January 2005. She then accepted a generous gift of support from the Ishayas in answering her eternal call to sit her butt down and practice Ascension meditation in the mountains of Canada for six months.

At age 50, “Relax and breathe” was her new job, given to her by Maharishi Krishnanada Ishaya.  She joyfully accepted this great gift and the competency in Being, which had she had been playing with since 1998, began to take hold and root.

Supriya’s life in the world continues to take various expressions. She creates with communities who have a commitment to implement transformation and create environments to support the human experience of the point of grace - in a wide range of contexts – from individual and group expressions in art, music and food - to co-leading workshops, silent retreats and singing Vedic chants to intimate groups or hundreds of people. She has attracted a private healing practice and continues as a spiritual teacher, traveling throughout the world, mainly in the States. Her life continuously and naturally evolves, simply from being of service in the moment and from her intention. Supriya continues learning to be just a little kinder and gentler each day. She is grateful to lead a simple, creative and adventurous life with her husband Alan and housemate Joseph in the city of San Francisco, California.

Asoka
St. Louis, MO
Asoka was born in Darlington, Co Durham England. As a child she spent time in hospital with Cancer and wanted to end suffering for herself and others.  As an adult she was interested in all things Spiritual and Esoteric and was always touched deeply by the words of Christ. However, she realized that no one she met could give her the answers she was looking for.

After searching many paths trying to find peace and fulfillment it wasn’t until after a painful divorce and depression that she realized that she needed to find a way to end her personal suffering and dissatisfaction with life.   Asoka was convinced by a friend to do a First Sphere Course in Yorkshire N. England. On that course listening to the teachers she knew that the experience she had was very real and made sense to her heart, she realized she wanted what they had.  After her first experience with Ascension she slowly began to realize that she had finally found "the peace that paseth all understanding" from within and the path she had been searching for.

She also knew she wanted to be a teacher of Ascension after finding inner peace love and total contentment and was willing to teach to anyone whose heart was open to the truth and was ready to go inside to discover the source of everything.
